Artists Statement:

Growing up, I very much enjoyed drawing and painting and glueing random things onto other random things. I also had a fondness for taking pictures and for collecting junk. Those interests and skills seemed to lay dormant during my angsty teen years when instead I opted for video games, television, boyfriends, shopping, and writing. Excitingly, my need for a creative outlet resurfaced in college and ever since I have been delving deeper into artwork while delving deeper into myself.

I believe the quality of my work is a result of my desire to create, my deep spiritual connection to my creations, and my willingness to allow myself to experiment and enjoy the process of creation. Although I still have much to learn, I am constantly growing my skill set and learning new and interesting techniques. I feel blessed that I am able to create meaningful works of incredible simplicity and beauty that touch the divine in many individuals.
