In The Garden, 18x36, acrylic on gallery stretched canvas
acrylic on 18" x 36" x 1.5" gallery stretched canvas

There are so many beautiful images in this piece. Each flower is a universe, and there are surprises hidden all over that were so unexpected when I created this painting.

I started with the idea of creating faerie or elven houses on a little hill and all of a sudden these brilliant flowers started sprouting, and before I knew it, dragonflies moved in!

From far away and in just the right dimmed lighting, the purple rose in the upper right corner begins to resemble a woman's hair in a loose bun, and you begin to see her neck and the outline of her flowing victorian dress. Turns out there were more than just faeries and elves living in the this garden.

I've added additional photos below for alternate angles and detail. Please note the painting continues and covers the edges of the canvas. The piece is ready to hang - no framing required.
